Fine copy of the first printing of the stated first edition in a near fine Brodarted dust jacket. Dust jacket has a 1.5" closed tear on front, head and tail of the spine are bumped and chipped, there are two other chips. Book has dark gray paper boards with burgundy cloth binding, gold lettering on spine, 287 pp. On the front board there are one and one half lines of rubbing impressions which appear to have occurred during book production as a small wheel mechanism moved the boards along. Author taught creative writing at the University of Oklahoma.

Very good copy in wraps. Warmly inscribed and dated (September 2, 1947) on FFEP. No publisher or publication date stated. There is a water stain which begins about two inches above the tail of spine and runs along the bottom of text block for three inches. Small piece of bottom middle of FFEP is stuck to inside cover. Slight sticker residue to inside front cover, upper left. This is the only copy we have seen. 53-page poem about Oklahoma by a Muskogee, Oklahoma poet. Indian culture illustrations. Tan wraps with red lettering and design on cover. Last page notes that it was printed at The Carpenter Press, Osaego, Kansas. Nice piece of Oklahoma literature.

Dust jacket is white paper with title at top, a block listing of NYSE composite transactions (with graph line) in middle and frontier photo near bottom, with author's name at very bottom. Book has bright blue boards, 232 pp. On p. 170 the author has corrected a typographical error with the same pen and shaky writing he used for the FFEP inscription. Photos. Wonderful copy of this book. Stamp noting printing company on lower right corner of rear pastedown.
